It feels awkward to admit, but I’ve started hesitating to use the delightful em dash (—) in my writing. It’s quickly become a symbol of AI-generated copy, and I’ve caught myself hesitating—wary of being misjudged—whenever I reach for one.
But I want to keep using them. So I’m naming the fear, and letting it go.
